So anyone who knows Logan knows that he is in a hurry to do something... NEVER! Nothing moves him fast unless it is sports related! This week he told me he is going to make sure that each one of his companions learns patience...Living with him they won't have a choice!  Anyways he said that he always tells them "tranquilo con paciencia pasan las cosas". Translation: Take it easy...with patience the things happen! I can just hear him say it...he lived by that motto here!

Well this week was pretty good and really busy for us. On Tuesday we had intercambios and I went to Morropón for the day with Elder Vasquez. It was pretty boring because the branch president there needed our help so we just sat on the computer putting in forms all day getting ready for some big conference with the stake president and he never even showed up ha ha. So last Monday I went to send you guys the pictures of me burning my tie for six months and it wouldn't let me do anything. Turns out there was a virus on the computer and they all got deleted ha ha. so I was pretty mad about that because I lost a bunch of pictures. but I still have quite a bit plus all the ones I have sent you guys. On Wednesday night I wanted to pray for something more specific so I asked for more opportunities to use my priesthood and when we woke up Thursday morning the girl that lives below us wanted us to give her little boy a blessing and we gave another blessing later that day. It was awesome to see and feel that God really does answer our prayers. On Friday we had interviews with President Rowley and it was great to get to sit down and talk to him and receive council and advice from him. Today we went to Piura because my companion had to buy a bag because we cant use backpacks anymore and then we ate Pizza Hut after ha ha. Love you guys.

Well this was a pretty good week I guess. Not really a whole lot going on that's too out of the ordinary haha. I guess the highlight of the week was the stake conference we had in Piura Saturday and Sunday. Elder Calderon from the Seventy came and gave two of the best talks I have ever heard in my entire life. He had us laughing our heads off one minute and crying the next. Today is changes. On Saturday night they called us and told us where we are going. My companion went to Tumbes and I am staying here in Chulucanas. But I have a new assignation (someone is losing their ENGLISH skills hahaha)... I am going to train! I don't know who my companion is yet and won't know until Wednesday. Ha-ha I m pretty stoked to get to train a new missionary and teach him. I'm sure it will be pretty hard though but it will be great. This week was hard because my companion knew he was getting changed and didn't want to do anything all week. But we still got some work done and found a new family to teach that looks pretty promising. I'm really tired though because in the past two days I have slept a solid 7 hours because my companion was packing all night and wouldn't sleep ha-ha. Pretty weird that a year ago this Thursday was the day I got my call. Oh and that my birthday is on Wednesday. But it doesn't feel like my birthday at all ha-ha.  But that's pretty much it for this week. Sorry there's not a whole lot. Love you guys.

 Chulucanas

Well another week down and I have been out six months. I cant believe how fast time flies. Seems like just a month ago I was saying goodbye to everyone. Anyway this week was pretty good for me. I don't remember what day it was but I finished the Book of Mormon for the first time in Spanish. Now I need to do it again because when I started I couldn't understand anything haha. The people down here have a hard time pronouncing Chapman so I have like a nickname haha. There is a chocolate candy thing down here called Chocman so they all call me Chocman haha also we taught the Jehovah's witness again this week and he always seems to get pretty heated when we prove him wrong with his own bible. We are all calm and he starts yelling and stuff, but the good thing is is that we have gotten a hold of one of their bibles and one of their little books they use to study haha. Last Monday we were walking down the road and we heard someone yell "elders" we turned around and there was a gringo walking towards us. He is from Georgia but he told me he used to live in Syracuse. His name is Brian Samples and he is a chiropractor and is starting a practice down here in Chulucanas. A few weeks ago an Israelite came to our church to listen. He was wearing a tunic and had long hair and a beard and everything. Well we started teaching him and we have set a date for him to be baptized the 22 of March. We celebrated my 6 months by burning a tie with the people we live with. They are awesome and always give us dinner and sometimes breakfast too. Well that's all for this week. Love you guys.

I hope he washed his hands and clothes!

Well my first week in Chulucanas was pretty good I guess. I am still trying to get used to everything and learn the area and stuff. Its weird going from an area that you could walk blindfolded to a brand new area haha. There is a giant hill here in Chulucanas that is called cerro ñañañique but the missionaries call it el monte del señor. We run up that thing almost every single morning haha and the first couple times it sucked because i am getting fat haha I finally found a scale to weigh myself this week and I came out a solid 180 haha. Its sweet to run up it because you can look out over all of Chulucanas. We have an investigator here who cant hear at all. Its almost worse than my dad hahah just kidding. So when we teach him we are seriously yelling and he still cant hear us. This week we were walking down the road and these Jehovah's witnesses came up and gave us a pamphlet and we were being cool with them and gave them a pamphlet then they started asking us who Jehovah was and all this stuff so we talked to them for like 30 minutes and ended up going to one of their houses the next day and we were just showing him all these scriptures about how Jehovah is Jesus and he was agreeing with us but in the end he was still just denying it haha. So that was my exciting week in Chulucanas haha. Love you guys.

Well this week seemed to fly by for me here in Chulucanas. here it is just a rama. I think its branch in English but I'm not sure. But it is weird for me to be in a rama because there are only about 50 people in sacrament meeting haha but the people and the leaders are awesome and are always willing to help us out with whatever we need. The other day we went and talked to the testigos again haha and I started to take out the scriptures that Jason sent me last week. When he went to read them and the verses weren't there he didn't know what to do haha. But we gave him a Book of Mormon and he is going to get us one of their bibles haha. The other night when we got to our room there was a gecko on the wall and I picked up this little hacky sack soccer ball that we have and said to my companion, "watch this" and launched it and killed the little guy hahaha it was so funny. Saturday we went to the gym that is in our area and it was my first time in a gym since I graduated and I am pretty sore haha. Well that's all for this week. Love you guys.
